That's right!!! The new challenge at KWED is up, so why not hop over and play along with us? And this week not only do you have a chance of winning a digi, there is also an AWESOME prize pack from Kiki Art!!!!
For my card this week I used the Ice Cream Cone digi. All of my papers, cardstock and ink are CTMH. The sentiment is printed from the computer.
And I wanted to share! My husband who is currently deployed sent me some pictures today. I very seldom get to hear from him, sometimes 2 weeks at a time! So, to get some pictures...Well, that's just AWESOME!!!!
That is a Camel Spider! My hubby told me that when they bite you it numbs your skin and they eat away at your flesh! YUCK!!!!
I wanted to let you know that there is a Brand New Challenge at Sweet Stampin! This weeks challenge is Vintage. Now, vintage isn't really my thing. Don't get me wrong, I like it, I think it is very pretty, I just don't do it. With that said, below is my attempt at the 'dreaded vintage'! lol Don't be to harsh! ;0)
This card was made using CTMH projects. The papers and cardstock are from the Veranda line. The stamped images are from the Felicity & One of a Kind stamp sets. The buttons, lace are from my stash and the sentiment was printed from the computer.
This week the challenge at KAH-Wink-E-Dink is "In the Garden". And don't forget Kristen has a freebie over there for you! Also, you don't have to use a KWED image to play along. Use any image you want, just come play along! =0)
I made this card using the new image Skinny Tree. The papers are K & Co., the sentiment is SU! and the inks are CTMH. The embellishments are from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges: Sketch & Stash-Sketch
Finally, it seems like forever since I've been here. As most of you know, my husband is deployed to Afghanistan. He left in May and during the month of June, our Battalion lost numerous soldiers...Double digits! With that said, the stress was beginning to get to me. We have 3 children, 4, 6 & 7 and they were noticing that I was stressed. So, needing a break from life, we packed up and went to visit family for a few weeks. It was a much needed break and I'm happy to say that I am feeling a little better. Please keep the family members of the fallen Soldiers in your prayers.
Okay, now on to a happier note. Before I left I received an award! Gigi from The Cricut Bug gave me a Trendy Blog Award. Thanks Gigi! Sorry I am just now getting it posted.
I now get to pass this award on to 5 blogs that I think are "Trendy"! So, here it goes....
Hi! My name is Courtney McDaniel and I am a photographer currently located in Columbus, GA. I am a SAHM to 3 wonderful children and I am married to an amazing man! He is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army and I am so proud of him.
A little about me...I LOVE to take pictures and I have for as long as I can remember. So when I had the chance to begin doing this as more than a hobby, I jumped at it. I am just starting out, so if you're in the area and you like what you see let me know and maybe I can snap a few memories for your family!
