Birthday Card for my Son...

This Sunday, the 11th of September is a very special day. Not only will it mark the 1oth Anniversary of the devastating tragedy of 9/11/01 but it is also my son's 9th Birthday. He is so in awe of his Dad and swears that he will be joining the Army when he is of legal age. lol So, on Friday I will be taking Army men cupcakes to school and he is planning on dressing the part by wearing his Army camo. It is no surprise that he asked for an Army Birthday card, so this is what I came up with...I can't wait to see his reaction!

For this card I used K & Co. Army Paper. All the sentiments were printed using a stencil font. I inked the edges with CTMH Cocoa ink and the image is Daniel, God Bless America from Fresh Brewed Designs.

  15. Hi Courtney! Wow! First of all, I want to thank your husband and your family for his service to our country. Second of all, I want to wish your son a very Happy Birthday! I'm so glad that you chose, "Daniel, God Bless America" to make his card! You did such a great job! I'm sure that your son loves it! You colored Daniel beautifully and the camo ribbon with that dp works perfectly! I'm sure that today is filled with so much heartfelt meaning for you and your family.

  16. I am speechless. We attended a service today honoring those who served and died, who served for 9-11 and still serve today as well as honored the wives and families. My prayers and thanks goes out to you and your family. My husband is a police and Fireman here so we know a little about what is given from time, love, and sacrifice on both parts. LOTS of hugs and smiles to your little man. I hope he had a wonderful birthday.

Thank you for sharing your something new with us at Freshly Brewed Challenges month long prize challenge.
